DESCRIPTION

This globally recognized course is the best way to start your diving adventure, which will follow you for life, becoming a certified diver. The combination of personalized training and hands-on in-water sessions will give you the skills and experience you need to feel comfortable underwater. You will receive the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

Scope

The Open Water Diver course offers students the knowledge and training needed to dive independently, in pairs with an equal or higher rank, at a maximum depth of 18 metres, in environments comparable to those where they received training.

Student prerequisites

Minimum age: 10 years.
The minimum bottom time for all open water training dives is 80 minutes.

Depth limits

The maximum depth allowed in a delimited pool/basin is 5 metres.
Minimum depth limit in open water: 5 m.
Maximum depth limit for open water training dives 1-2: 12 m.
Maximum depth limit for remaining open water training dives: 18 m.
Maximum depth for 10 and 11 year old students: 12 m
