DIVING AND DISABILITY with HSA
HSA History:

HSA Italia, since the mid-1980s, has been dedicated to improving the physical and social well-being of people with disabilities through underwater sport.
Thousands of HSA certified divers with different types of physical, visual and intellectual disabilities dive safely in the world's seas.
Expert HSA instructors, thanks to time-tested, internationally recognized and widespread teaching methods, will introduce you to this exciting activity.

Overcoming diversity, eliminating physical and mental barriers, increasing self-esteem and improving the psycho-physical and social well-being of people with disabilities through underwater sport: this has always been the mission of HSA Italia.

DESCRIPTION
In and under water you abandon limitations, constraints, the wheelchair and rediscover lost freedoms: you move weightlessly, supported by the gentle push of Archimedes, enveloped in the unique sensation of protection that only water can give, without obstacles or architectural barriers to face.

Thus, the gap between disabled and non-disabled people is also significantly reduced, promoting integration, socialization and well-being for all.

The underwater activities, carried out in unique landscape contexts, are not limited to diving alone, but the whole day is a great opportunity to be together, share experiences, without any competitiveness, just with the desire to feel good.

Our great movement has made all this possible, guaranteeing social inclusion and cultural growth, in a continuous mutual exchange of humanity.

The large number of instructors, guides, professionals, diving educators, certified disabled divers, members and supporters that HSA boasts in 47 countries around the world, works every day, with passion and competence, to spread its mission, beyond every acronym and barrier.
